[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]A commercial office building owner in the Austin area reached out to us with a unique challenge. They had recently completed a major refurbishment of the office spaces but were in desperate need of help with the public spaces. The entry lobby has a soaring two-story atrium with curved walls and large elevator lobbies on both the first and second floors.
The owners knew that they needed to add visual interest to these spaces and so they turned to The Staging Guy to bring in color and personality. While we didn’t have anything in our immediate inventory that could have addressed these issues, it gave us a chance to start from scratch and create a new vision for the location.
Our President and Master Stager, Richard Kline, assisted by our Lead Stager, Lindsey Ruegsegger designed an idea that would bring color and a modern splash to the building’s lobby. They filled the curved 24-foot high curved atrium walls with Chihuly-inspired art glass plates. The art glass ranges in size from 12 to 24 inches and are arranged to flow down and across the walls the walls. The team mounted large brightly-colored contemporary artwork in both of the two elevator lobbies. The installation process went far into the night but was a huge success! The client is thrilled and the lobby has taken on a completely different vibe; it went from cold and sterile to warm and inviting. Take a look at the pictures and watch the change take place.
